Daisy S.
Professional Piano, Voice, & Music Theatre Educator
Daisy is a piano, vocal, and musical theater coach based in San Diego, currently studying Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Elementary Education at San Diego State University. She began playing piano at age 8, musical theater at 13, and vocal training at 15. Since then, Daisy has trained through private piano and voice lessons, performance coaching with SingWithChrissy, and has extensive experience in workshops and over 10 productions with Young Actors Theatre (YAT).
Daisy has built strong experience working with students of all ages, most commonly TK through 5th grade. She has worked as a camp director, theater aide, stage manager, and recreation attendant, supporting and leading students in both classroom and performance settings. Her background in education and her long-term goal of becoming an elementary school teacher strongly influences her teaching approach.
Daisy has performed in a variety of roles, including Mrs. George in Mean Girls, Michelle Mahoney in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, and a featured vocalist in Bring It On. She has also been a solo vocalist in holiday cabarets at YAT for the past four years.
Daisy’s teaching style is fun, supportive, and confidence-building. She focuses on growth over perfection, encouraging students to develop their skills while enjoying the process and exploring what they love to perform. She is passionate about making music and theater accessible and meaningful, and believes that the arts play an essential role in every student’s development.
