Professional Brass & Woodwinds Educator

Emily V began her musical journey while attending the prestigious Orange County School of the Arts, where she had the opportunity to travel and perform abroad at major events and festivals. During her time there, she performed at the renowned Ellington Festival in New York, earning multiple soloist awards and receiving consistent recognition at festivals and competitions, including back-to-back awards while competing in the heavy division for big band. 

Emily is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in music performance at California State University, Long Beach. She has been playing saxophone for over eight years and has experience performing on clarinet and flute. Having started piano lessons at a young age, Emily developed a strong musical foundation early on that continues to shape her musicianship today. 

Over the years, Emily has performed at a wide range of festivals and events, with some of her most notable performances taking place at the 2024 Essentially Ellington Festival. Outside of school and live performance, she has been involved in recording sessions, gigging through Los Angeles, and building her professional presence through social media and industry networking. Emily continues to grow both her artistry and professional experience while sharing her passion for music with others.
