Professional Woodwinds, Brass, & Voice Educator

Katie is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist and enthusiastic music educator. Trained as a clarinetist, she graduated from The Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education (K-12). She has performed in a number of ensembles including concert bands, wind ensembles, and pit orchestras, studying an array of genres and instruments.

Katie’s students not only achieve a high level of performance, but a deep understandingand appreciation for music. Her pedagogy prioritizes an individualized approach to technique and artistry, encouraging students to form a bond with their instrument and repertoire. She excels at connecting with students and families to create a comfortable, fun, and productive learning environment. In addition to teaching and performing, Katie is passionate about music theory and musical theatre. Now based in NYC, she looks forward to working with new students and making great music!
