Lauren P.

Professional Piano, Strings & Voice Educator

Lauren is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and performer born and raised in Orange County, California. She holds a B.A. in Education Sciences from the University of California, Irvine.

She began her musical training in elementary and middle school, studying classical piano and voice while performing regularly in choir. In high school, she expanded her skills independently, volunteering at her local church to teach Pre-K through 5th grade and performing in the main service band as a pianist, guitarist, and vocalist. During college, Lauren co-founded the Filipino American indie-pop band, Mid-Century Modern, performing as a pianist and vocalist at venues across Southern California, including The Pour House in Monrovia and the late Birdcage Comics Cafe in San Bernardino.

At UC Irvine, she pursued mentorship and leadership through undergraduate theatre projects. She served as Director for Metro Theatre Co.’s staged musical reading of I Love You, Because and as Music Director for Birdsong, an indie-folk songwriting project in which she developed instrumental and vocal arrangements while performing original work.

From classical training to independent performance and educational leadership, Lauren’s musical journey has shaped her flexible and creative approach to both musicianship and teaching. She specializes in beginner piano, beginner rhythm guitar, and choral singing, and is passionate about helping students build confidence while discovering joy in music.
